Lesson learned

Recently I had chicken pox and trust me it was hell. Not so much because of the disease but because of what it meant. Having chicken pox means you can not go out anywhere because everyone can get the disease from you!! And is dangerous for small children and pregnant women.
I was supposed to start work but couldn't and had to wait for a week and a half to be able to go back to my routine. (well not so long after 3 days I started going to the gym, but it was still really difficult because I had nothing else to do)
I started to get really really sad and depressed because I didn't see or spoke to anyone in a week and my days were really boring. And even food started to become a problem because with so much free time you start thinking about yummy things and things I usually don't have during the week like ice cream or cakes and also you are so bored and with nothing to do that you start to eat just to keep yourself busy and with something to do.
Thanfully I started working Thursday and it's amazing how in just 2 days I went back to normal, which made me realize how important it is to go out there, have activities, keep yourself busy and interact with other people.
I also went back and had a look at some of Bethenny Frankels skinny girl rules:

1. Your Diet is your Bank Account( You need to balance your calories for the day)
2. You Can Have It All- Just not all at once
3. Pay Attention
4. Downsize your portions
5. Cancel your Membership in the Clean Plate Club
6. Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself
7. Know Thyself (Know Your Trigger Foods)
8. Taste Everything, Eat Nothing(Share Food, Eat small bites)
9. Get Real(Eat more Whole Foods)
10. Good For You- Make Peace with Food

So my advice for this summer, get out there, keep yourself busy and have fun!
