Mexico-New Week- New York

So I'm happy to be in Mexico and enjoying my last weeks before school starts and I have to go back to London, which is not so bad since I moved houses and I'm going to live with to of my friends from Mexico.
Being at home has been quite nice, the first week I had a couple of partied where I got to see lots of my friends and I had a lot of fun.
This week was my birthday and I enjoyed every second of it, but I ate too much cake and let's juts say this week wasn't the best for my jeans size. I mean I still did some excercise and watched what I ate 4 of the 7 days of the week, but I want to try to start a health diet for a couple of weeks and feel comfortable with myself and also it will help me with some of the stomach problems I've been having.
My mum wants me to go to the doctor but I'm scared to be honest and I will try to avoid it if I can.

So after a week of pizza, carrot cake, banana cake and lots of luxurious foods I wil start on Monday with some vegetable soup and work my way trough out the week.
I will keep posting my journey and tell you how I'm feeling, so you can also think about having a healthier live style or know you are not the only one out there struggling with body-image and weight issues. This until I go to NY and visit my favourite restaurants.

Olympics-Mum's visit-Moving

So these past few weeks have been really busy. I have had a lot of work, which to be honest has been a blast. I am really tired but all the complaining I did before about not wanting to work during the summer...well pointless.
Turns out London hasn't been that bad during the Olympics and my mum came to visit again because her boyfriend was invited by Televisa to come.
I didn't get to see them that often because of work and they went to Rome, but the few evening we went out where quite nice.

First night we went to The Boundary which I think is a Restaurant I have already spoken about in other posts and I really like it. This time we also tried the souffle and it was amazing, specially the ice cream.
We were supposed to have dinner together for the opening ceremony but I only saw them for a few hours before because they got tickets to the stadium! Yes! They saw the Arctic Monkey up close.
The last day we went to dinner with my boss, who to be honest I see more like an aunt or a second grandmother because she's really nice. And of course she always picks the best restaurants.
We went to this place called Le Trois Gracons which is a very fun and interesting place.
I had a gratinated lobster (small size not the whole lobster) as an appetizer, and then the Fish of the day which was delicious and to finish it off my mum and I shared the pear tart tatin which to be honest I finished pretty much myself, even though it was huge! Totally worth the calories hahaha!

An other thing I want to recommend before I finish off this post is a book by Patti Smith called just Kids which is very interesting specially if you like art.
